Competition Sanctioning Rules
We recommend all organisers/venues to run through a tutorial with Matt from Darts Atlas before you go ahead with running ADC sanctioned competitions.

Every sanctioned tournament must be agreed and, on the ADC UK Calendar, more than a week before the competition.
Please be aware, we DO NOT accept sanctioned opens on the same dates as the WINMAU TOUR or NATIONAL FINALS.
From 2025, ‘Plate’ Knockouts or ‘First Round Loser’ Competitions can only be sanctioned, if players are added as guests to the event. We will NOT sanction ‘Plate’ Knockouts with ranking points attached.
Event Descriptions & Valid Players
Event Description’s must include all valid information including check-in time, entry price, and prize fund.
A venue loaction must be added to the event, so that players can find it via the search function. Administration > Venue > Add Venue.
Every event that requests sanctioning, must be open to all ADC members.
Equipment Requirements
· Fixed Oches
· Competition standard match boards
· Adequate lighting
· Tablets or Smartphones for scoring – ADC Recommend the Amazon Fire HD 7,8 or 10 Tablets (with Ads)
· Stable/Strong WiFI connection or tether to 4G/5G Smartphone
Formats
· A minimum of Best of 5 in straight Knockouts
· Best of 3 are allowed in Round-Robin Groups Stages
Please note - Weekly Round-Robins are not allowed. If you are to host a weekly round-robin, it must be via the ADC under ‘The Vault Round-Robin Series’ – See HERE for more info.
Please be aware, the 3-week break between a Vault Series, we do allow weekly round-robins to be sanctioned, only if they currently run a weekly vault
Monthly Round-Robins and one-off Round-Robin events are permitted.
Costings
To apply for ADC Sanctioning is completely FREE. You must use the Darts Atlas system to offer ranking points.
ADC Sanctioned competitions will be 50p per player to use the system
For example, if you have a competition with 48 players in, the cost will be £24.00.
We advise tournament organisers to add a 50p admin charge to the player entry fees to cover the cost.
Please be aware, the ADC does not see any of this money. Darts Atlas receives the full £50p per player.

Step 1
Create your Tournament on Darts Atlas.

Optionally, add your venue to your tournament to help players find it via Darts Atlas geographic search.
Step 2
From your tournament homepage, select the “Sanctioning” tab, then click the ADC United Kingdom button to apply for sanctioning. You will receive an email once your Sanction Request has been reviewed.
If approved, your tournament will be promoted on the ADC UK calendar of events.
Step 3
Direct players to register for your tournament on your tournament homepage (free Darts Atlas account required)
Step 4
Manage check-in on the day of your tournament, then pay your discounted tournament administration fee to create your tournament bracket.
Step 5
Run your tournament and watch the ADC standings update as soon as the last dart is thrown.
