New Events for 2024
Amateur Darts Circuit (ADC) has announced two new events for 2024.
The events are the 'The Red Dragon Doubles Cup' and 'UK & Ireland Classic'.
The Doubles Cup will see 32 qualifying events throughout the UK & Ireland, with the 32 champions contesting at the National Finals. The UK & Ireland Classic will see the best 32 performing players in the Regional and UK tables by the end of June 2024 compete at the National Finals.
The initiative has been introduced to diversify the membership offering and give something back to the players in all regions. With a combined prize fund of £28,400 on offer, it will look to strengthen the events within the ADC system.
Scott Hunt, ADC Head of Global Operations, said: “I am extremely excited to unveil these two new events and continue to offer a little more to our valued members.
“The idea behind the UK & Ireland Classic is to give a little more incentive to gaining those Regional and National ranking points. We will see players battle throughout the year for the top 2 regional spots. The cut-off point will be at the end of June every year. You can also qualify by placing high up in the UK Ranking Table and also via additional qualifying events after the cut-off point.
“The Red Dragon Doubles Cup…. well, who doesn’t love a good game of pairs with their mate! We are hoping we unearth some more talent via this competition and feel it adds a little bit more added spice to an already exciting events lineup.”
Both events will conclude at the ADC National Finals Weekend in October 2024, which will take place at Eston Sports Academy, Middlesbrough.
The Finals Weekend will feature 'The VAULT National Finals, Womens Singles Leagues Finals, Womens VAULT Finals, The Red Dragon Doubles Cup Finals and UK & Ireland Classic Finals'.
