Words by Harry Masterton (Darts World Magazine)
Recent MODUS Super Series winner Adam Mould claimed another win in the Amateur Darts Circuit, winning the Haddenham Midweek Competition to earn 64 points at Bradmoor Farm.
Adam beat PDC tour card holder Ritchie Edhouse 5-4 in the Final, despite his opponent throwing the only 3 180s of the match. The Englishman averaged 91.91 including a first 3 dart average off 106.41, starting the Final with an instant break of throw against the player ranked 47th in the Professional Darts Corporation.
Mouldy sits on 257pts and 6th in the rankings for 2023, with 9pts the difference between himself and Brian Dawson in 5th. Tony Wood who reached the Semi Finals of the Super Series last week, remains top of the ADC Rankings with 324pts leading 2nd placed Simon Perkins by 4 points.
The 1st season of the opening Vault Series ended at the end of last week, with Northern Ireland and brand-new venues entering for the Vault 2.0 as the next round of round robin competitions approach.
Steven Johnstone came through a winner at a recent Scotland regional qualifier to feature in Portsmouth on the 10th-14th of April, as more players continue to work their way onto the live cameras through the ADC.
The regional tables for the first series have concluded with the Finals competitions scheduled for this weekend.
Stephen Cake having started the 1st Series at the top of the Wales region, finishes 1st with 99 points ahead of second-placed Dewi Beynon by 14pts. The Welshman claimed 8 Round Robin wins from the opening series of 2023, including 51 180s since the start of January.
