Brown Wins as Hall Moves into 4th

Steve Brown moved to ninth in the ADC Rankings, after the Winmau man won the Bar501 Kingswood Round Robin tournament in Bristol, beating Ricky Palmer 4-2 in the Final with an 87.09 average.


The 41-year-old playing in his hometown, performed best in his Quarter Final tussle with Tom Martin, coming through a last leg decider to beat the Englishman 3-2.

Bomber came from 2-0 down and hit a score of 94.04 over the course of the match. His victory moves him onto 262 points in the rankings after gaining 32 for winning the overall event.


Graham Hall moves up to fourth in the ADC Rankings after the weekends action, winning the Windmill Hill GC Open in Milton Keynes beating Ricky Nathan 6-1 in the Final. 64 points were added to his points total and included a Semi Final victory over PDC tour card holder and Euro Tour Finalist Martin Lukeman, coming through a 5-4 winner against Smash.


Lloyd Pennell solidified his spot in third place in the rankings, after winning the Streamline Taxis York Open Event 9 beating John Pickering 5-1 in the Final. The Lincoln thrower won his opening two matches without reply, before winning 3-1 against Paul Gannon in the Last 16, as he took 64 points from the Huntingdon working men’s club moving onto 460 points.


Long standing No.1 Matt Jackson played in Bristol on Thursday, but lost in the opening round to Jamie Verdasz, as The Action only managed to add 2 points to his rankings score with a 2-0 defeat.

Adam Atkinson in second faired no better as he played the Northeast Winmau Sky Lounge Ranking Series, losing in the Last 64 to Andy Parks 4-1, with the Northeast man including a 13-dart leg to seal his spot in the Last 32, hitting tops with his first dart.


Geoff Murray saw a huge rise in the rankings moving from fourteenth to sixth, after winning the event in Washington Tyne and Wear earning 128 points. The 31-year-old moves onto 318 points, 62 points off Tony Wood in fifth who has now moved a rank down in back-to-back weeks.


The Englishman added 2 points to his score after playing the Consett Station Club Ranking Tournament in County Durham, losing 4-0 in his opening round match against Windy Miller who went on to win the tournament as he sits 48th in the ADC Order of Merit.


The Northeast Winmau Sky Lounge Ranking Series returns to Washington this weekend, with ADC number one Matt Jackson and number three Lloyd Pennell both registered in what should be an entertaining afternoon in the Northeast of England.
